OCR: Lala traff Voice Central crfies Voice-over, In a typical voice-over-Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) configuration, an integrated access device resides at the customer premises. Data travels over the link to the DSL Access Multiplexer (DSLAM) at the central office, where it is separated from voice traffic and sent to the customer's ISP network. Voice traffic goes through the DSLAM to a voice gateway that's also at the central office. The gateway converts the voice traffic from packets to a circuit-switched call, which is then sent to a Class 5 switch at the central office. The call is then sent to the PSTN.
